Dimmerly (“the App”) is developed by Zoran Olujic. This policy explains how the App and this website handle information.

Data Collection

The App does not collect or transmit personal data to the developer or to developer-operated servers. The App operates entirely on your device.

What the App Stores Locally

The following data is stored locally on your Mac using UserDefaults and is never sent anywhere:

• Your brightness presets and preferences
• Keyboard shortcut configurations
• App settings, such as launch at login, fade transition, idle timer, schedules, and color temperature preferences
• Approximate latitude and longitude if you use current location or manually enter coordinates for sunrise, sunset, and automatic color temperature features

This data stays on your device and is not accessible to anyone, including the developer.

You can delete stored location coordinates in the App by choosing Clear Location. Other preferences can be changed or reset in the App, and all locally stored app data can be removed by deleting the App and its local container data from your Mac.

Network Access

The App does not send data to developer-operated servers and does not use analytics, advertising, AI, or tracking SDKs. The App does not require an internet connection for core display control features.

If you choose “Use Current Location” for sunrise/sunset schedules, macOS Location Services may use Apple-provided location infrastructure to determine your location.

Third-Party Services

The App does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, AI, or tracking services.

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to provide aggregated page-view and performance metrics. Cloudflare states that Web Analytics does not use cookies or local storage, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track individual end users across customer websites. Permissions

Dimmerly may request Accessibility permission to enable global keyboard shortcuts. This permission is used solely for detecting keyboard shortcuts and is not used to monitor or record any user activity.

Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
